Abstract It is a fact that once passed the stage of compulsory education, the transition of a disabled child towards adult life and the world of employment is an increasing source of worry for parents. It is a process that terrifies parents and guidance is required as much for parents as for pupils to access useful employment or worthwhile activities and the adult world, besides personal autonomy and independence. This communication analyzes the different educational and occupational alternatives for disabled pupils.
